Rosecliff Mansion was built in 1902 and is an architectural marvel inspired by the Palace of Versailles in France. Its timeless beauty is a testament to the opulence and grandeur of the Gilded Age. Danielle and Omer chose a grand six-tiered wedding cake that soared to the ceiling of the mansion ballroom. The bride’s one wish, was for the cake to be the largest cake that Artisan Bake Shop had every created.
Accented with delicate hand piped lace and floral accents reminiscent of their linens their cake featured shades of ivory, champagne, alabaster and pearl.
Situated along Newport's famed Bellevue Avenue, Rosecliff Mansion boasts stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The mansion's terrace and sprawling gardens provide a picturesque setting for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail receptions. The satin fabric on Danielle’s dress and her centerpiece and linen choices played were a large role in the design of the cake.
The satin finish of the fabric of Danielle’s dress was the leading inspiration for the alabaster pearl finish on the beaded details on the cake design. The reaching and grand floral centerpieces featuring champagne, ivory, and nude florals inspired the towering sugar flowers on the cake as well.
Champagne shimmered on the cake table linen and this color palette and geometric accent was highlighted on the quilted tier which features the diamond pattern.
