7 Things to Know Before Ordering a Cake
Follow along to learn our top tips to make your birthday party, anniversary party or baby shower a huge success! We’ve compiled our top 7 tips to know before ordering a cake, cupcakes or desserts.
1) For Kid's Parties: order a smaller (fancy-themed) cake and cupcakes for the majority of the guest count.
This is so much easier to serve AND your guests can enjoy the cupcakes throughout the event. This is especially helpful when you're at a venue that offers a small window of time for your party.
2) Take Advantage of our Small Batch Cupcakes:
These are cupcakes that accommodate special-dietary-needs in small quantities. This eliminates anyone missing out on dessert at your event. (Available on the Order Online section of our Website)
3) Size Up for Parties with Long RSVP Dates:
If your RSVP date is 14-30 days prior to the event date, choose the size up from what you think you'll need. Chasing guests down for a Yes-or-No is becoming increasingly difficult. Sizing up allows you to be comfortable with allowing last minute Yes-RSVPs
4) When Ordering a Two-Tiered-Cake: choose a different flavor for the top tier
Choose the celebrant's favorite flavor for the top tier (no matter how random it may be) and then choose a Classic Flavor Combination for the Bottom Tier. This allows you to have a fun-flavor and then a more approachable flavor for the crowd.
5) Allow Space in your Vehicle for your Cake/Cupcake Order:
Got a golf bag? A stroller? Maybe groceries in the trunk of your car? Remove these items from your car prior to your cake pick up.
Clear out a space in your vehicle prior to pick up. Your cake should always be placed on the floor of your car. The floor behind your passenger seat is ideal for sedans (aka: cars). But in a hatchback or SUV the trunk (aka: cargo area) is the best place for travel.
6) Prior to Pick Up: run the air conditioning
Be sure to run the air conditioning on the coldest setting to cool off the interior of your car prior to pick up. If it’s winter time, be sure to turn the heat off in your car. And be sure to turn the heat off the ‘feet’ setting. This cools off your car and allows you to safely travel with your cake.
7) Start the Process Early:
