How far in advance do you book cakes?

Generally, we book 2-3 weeks in advance for special occasion cakes, and 6-10 months out for wedding cakes.

Do any of your baked goods contain preservatives?

No, we do not use any preservatives in our baked goods.

Do you bake from scratch?

Yes, all baked goods are made from scratch.

Are your baked goods nut or peanut free?

Due to the fact that we use nuts in the bakery, we are not a nut-free facility. However, we can take on nut-free orders with at least 7 days notice. We have special equipment for these orders, and are happy to source our flours, sugar, cocoa, and other ingredients (besides nuts) from nut-free vendors.

Do you make gluten-free baked goods?

We will make gluten-free cakes and cupcakes with a one-week notice. Our buttercream frostings are all naturally gluten-free, but we are not a dedicated gluten-free celiac sprue bakery.

Do you bake from a facility inspected by the Board of Health?

Yes, our kitchen is a certified commercial kitchen, we are certified by the Rochester Board of Health as a foodservice establishment.

What are your hours of operation?

Our store hours vary with the season. We are more than happy to accommodate any orders for pick up on any day of the week except Monday.

Do you offer cake tastings?

Special Events:

Please allow at least 14 days notice for all Custom Cakes. Call ahead to set a time up to chat with one of our professional staff members to discuss your design either by phone or in person. We guarantee availability: Friday 10am-5:30pm & Saturday 10am-4:30pm, we're in the shop Tuesday-Thursday as well, but no matter which day: always recommend always calling ahead so we can put some time aside for you!

We'll talk about design options, show you lots of pictures of past cakes/inspiration cakes, talk about all of your flavor options, pricing, and come up with the perfect cake for your event. We welcome you to bring in any inspiration from your invitation, table decor, etc. All of the details will be recorded onto a Sketch Worksheet and if you'd like to taste our cakes: Cupcakes are available to purchase, in a variety of flavors, so you can try our cake flavors!

If you would like a Full Consultation and Tasting for a Special Event with our Head Pastry Chef, Meredith, there is a $20.00 charge for a 60 minutes appointments. You'll need to call at least 20 days prior to your event. Appointments book Tuesday-Thursday with day and evening slots available. Weekend appointments are available, times/days vary with the seasons. We do not book Full Consultations and Tastings on Fridays.

Weddings:

Wedding Cake Consultations book with day and evening appointments Tuesday-Thursday and some Saturday and Sundays depending on the season. 90-minute Wedding Cake Consultations are complimentary and book by appointment only.

You'll meet with me, Meredith, owner and pastry chef. We start by talking about your wedding day style, you can bring pictures or inspiration. If you're not quite sure what you're looking for we'll give you a few minutes to look over our vast portfolio and "Look Book!" Then we go into a full sketch session where we talk about different designs and find the perfect style for you. Then we put together full pricing while you try a variety of our classic and gourmet flavors. Then, we send you home with a full packet of sketches, prices and flavors choices along with our book the date sheet. We do not book Full Consultations and Tastings on Friday.

Mitzvahs:

Bar/Bat/B'nei Mitzvah Cake Consultations book with day and evening appointments Tuesday-Thursday and some Saturday and Sundays depending on the seasons. 60-minute consultations are complimentary and book by appointment only. We start by talking about the event style, we love to have inspiration from your invitations or decor! Then we go into a full sketch session where we talk about different designs and find the perfect style for you. Then we put together full pricing while you try a variety of our classic and gourmet flavors. Then, we send you home with a full packet of sketches, prices and flavors choices along with our book the date sheet. We do not book Full Consultations and Tastings on Friday.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver to the South Coast of Massachusetts, South Shore Massachusetts, all of Cape Cod, Fall River MA, Tiverton RI, Newport RI, Bristol, RI, and Providence RI. Delivery fees vary from town to town, and pick up is always free at our store.
